#5 Mark Wahlberg's Beverly Hills Mansion
Size: 11,500 square feet, including seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms
Asking Price: $12.995 million
List date: July 18, 2012
Current Status: Still for sale
The Scoop: Wahlberg bought the home in 2001 for "only" $4.95 million and made some multi-million upgrades to the place, which now features a kitchen with commercial grade Viking-appliances and marble countertops, a media room with a fireplace, a two-bedroom, 2,500-square-foot guest house, and a resort-style pool area with cabanas and a waterfall. The estate includes a two-story gym complete with a regulation boxing ring and an outdoor basketball court that can also be used for tennis or racquetball. Though potential buyers should note that the deed to the house does not come with a guarantee you'll end up with Wahlberg's abs.

#4 Sheryl Crow’s Hollywood Hills Estate
Size: 11-acre estate with a 4-bedroom, 3.5 bath main house, a 3-bedroom, 3-bedroom guest house, and a 2-bedroom, 2-bath bungalow
Asking Price: $15.95 million
List Date: October 1, 2012
Current Status: Still for sale
The Scoop: The Spanish Revival home was built in 1924 and has been remodeled to include lots of modern-day amenities like a kitchen chock full of high-end appliances, a library with built-in bookshelves, a wine cellar, and plenty of outdoor luxuries, too, including some close-to-nature spots where Crow must have penned a few tunes. There's the infinity pool with attached hot tub and deck, a footbridge over the property, a cactus garden, and a tropical-style palapa complete with hammock for gazing out into the L.A. skyline, and an outdoor fireplace. As for the guest houses, which share the 11-acre lot, the 1909 Craftsman contains three bedrooms and three bathrooms, while the 1885 "cottage" has two bedrooms and features white oak floors and the always-cool-sounding claw foot tub. According to Zillow.com, the "Perfect Lie" singer and her kids have already completed their move to Tennessee.

#3 Madonna’s Manhattan Apartment
Size: 6,000 square feet, 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom duplex
Asking Price: $23.5 million
List Date: November 20, 2012
Current Status: Still for sale
The Scoop: Though Madge purchased a single unit back in the mid 1980s, over the years she's bought two more neighboring apartments in the building, combining them into what is now a 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom duplex, which takes up the 5th and 6th floors of West 64th Street's prestigious Harperley Hall. A peek at the listing shows the apartment offers luxuries most Manhattanites have to forgo, like great rooms on both floors with French doors leading to outdoor "Juliet" balconies, five wood-burning fireplaces, central air conditioning (not always a given in NYC apartments), bedrooms with their own wings, and yes, those priceless park views. The apartment was featured in a 1991 issue of Architectural Digest, and according to the article, it included a sound-proofed private gym so that neighbors couldn't hear the stereo system. Unfortunately, the plan didn’t quite work. According to the New York Post, the 54-year-old was sued in 2009 by an upstairs neighbor, who claimed that Madonna played her tunes so loudly that the walls shook for up to three hours a day. The building's board reportedly threatened to evict the "Vogue" songstress and she settled the lawsuit in 2011. After that she moved out of the building and into an even bigger apartment across town on the Upper East Side, this one a 12,000-square-foot 13-bedroom, 14-bathroom triple-wide townhouse with nine fireplaces (because five just isn't enough), for which she paid a reported $40 million.

#2 Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif’s French Chateau in the Gated Los Angeles Enclave of Beverly Glen
Size: 20,000 square feet including eight bedrooms and 11 baths
Asking Price: $26 million
List Date: September 20, 2012
Current Status: Sold on October 19 for $19.5 million
The Scoop: After entering into a messy divorce, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Maloof and her plastic surgeon husband Nassif looked to liquefy one of their biggest assets when they put this mega-mansion on the market. And what a mansion it is. The listing agency's website states that the French Chateau-style house, designed by architect Richard Landry, is set on two acres and includes luxurious features like a tennis court, media room, wine cellar, swimming pool, and both a pool house and a guest house. According to Zillow.com, the couple purchased the home (which was built in 2000 and has been featured prominently in the reality show) for just under $13 million in 2004, which means they made a tidy little profit on the sale … more to pay the lawyers with!

#1 Ryan Seacrest’s Beverly Hills Mansion, Purchased From Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi
Size: 2.87 acres, 15,000 square feet, 9 bedroom, 11 baths
List Price: $45 million
List Date: October 3, 2011
Purchase Price: $37 million
Purchase Date: May 16, 2012
The Scoop: Was the home with a celebrity pedigree worth every penny? Well, the property includes a main house, two guest cottages, and an additional 3-bedroom house. DeGeneres and de Rossi purchased the furnished property from “Will & Grace” co-creator Max Mutcnick and later bought two neighboring properties and expanded the home with the help of interior designer Melinda Ritz. The house includes a media room (where the couple was married), a giant pool, meditation room, and pond. Best of all, it was also was once home to Joan Collins.

Honorable Mention: Reese Witherspoon’s Ojai Ranch
Size: 7 acres, 4 bedroom, 3-bath main house, three guest cottages, and carriage house
Asking Price: $10 million
List date: October 15, 2012
Current Status: Price dropped to $8.9 million on November 15. Still for sale
The Scoop: Though there were bigger and more expensive celeb homes that hit the market in 2012, Witherspoon’s Ojai property, makes the list since it’s made plenty of headlines over the last year or so. It was the site of Witherspoon's star-studded wedding and was featured in Elle Decor's August 2012 issue. Over the summer it also became a temporary retreat for her friend and "Like Water for Elephants" co-star Robert Pattinson during the media frenzy that ensued after his girlfriend Kristen Stewart admitted to cheating on him. Acclaimed architect Neff designed the ranch's main house, which has four bedrooms and three and a half baths, in 1923 for glassware magnate Edward Drummond Libbey. In addition to the main house, the estate, which sits on nearly seven acres, also includes a swimming pool, barn, and horse paddock as well as multiple guest cottages, which contain an additional five bedrooms. Witherspoon and her family also share the ranch with donkeys, pigs, goats, chickens, and four dogs. No word on whether they come with the house or not.

Global 2012: Stewart takes sheer-dress trend to extreme

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

Wearing a surprisingly see-through gold lace dress, Kristen Stewart got comfortable with her fans and went barefoot as she signed autographs at the world premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2” in Los Angeles on Monday evening. Stewart’s friend carried the Jimmy Choo heels for her and Stewart slipped them on moments before she walked the carpet, but admitted she was “already looking forward to taking them off.”

Global 2012: Kristen Stewart is still struggling to "forgive herself" after cheating on Robert Pattinson

Kristen Stewart attending the Twilight Saga Fi...Kristen Stewart attending the Twilight Saga Film New Moon (Twilight Chapitre 2 Tentation) Photocall at the Crillon Hotel in Paris, France on November 10, 2009. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)The actress had an affair with her married 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director, Rupert Sanders, and the 22-year-old star of the 'Twilight' films has been spending her time out of the spotlight reflecting on her actions and turning to self-help and enlightenment books.

A source told website Radar Online: "Kristen is trying to find some inner peace within herself. And she is reading a lot. She has always been interested in philosophy and spirituality and she has been reading a lot of different books.

"Strangely enough, the one author that has really been resonating with her is Gandhi, who she decided to find out more about after watching 'Eat, Pray Love'."

Kristen is expected to attend next month's Toronto Film Festival. She will promote her latest film, 'On The Road' but won't be addressing her cheating scandal apparently.

The source continued: "The remorse she has isn't completely gone, but Gandhi's words have certainly helped her find peace with the whole situation. Kristen isn't beating herself up over it, she's accepted that everyone makes mistakes and she has to learn from it."

Both Kristen Stewart and Robert are skipping the final four conventions celebrating the ending of the 'Twilight Saga', according to the movie's producers.

A statement from Creation Entertainment said: "Although Rob, Kristen and Taylor (Lautner) will not be with us this time out we will have a super line-up of other Twilight stars and the weekend will be filled with special events, movie prop and costume displays, contests, panels, auctions, parties, exclusive merchandise, music and much more, including some surprises!"

Global 2012: Rob Pattinson's First Breakup Appearance in Flawless Gucci Suit

Cover of "Twilight (Two-Disc Special Edit...Cover of Twilight (Two-Disc Special Edition)
Robert Pattinson is done crying on Reese Witherspoon’s shoulder. In his first public appearance since the cheating scandal with his Twilight co-star and longtime girlfriend Kristen Stewart, Pattinson was more charming and witty than ever onThe Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Monday night. He skillfully avoided talking too much about the breakup, thanks in part to his host, who pulled out two pints of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream at the start of the show and joked, “Now, we’re just a couple of gals talking. Tell me everything.” Pattinson kept the mood light, telling Stewart he might “split my Spanx” if he ate too much before his red carpet appearance later that night at the New York premiere of his latest film, Cosmopolis. (He said he was “double spanked.”)

Then, in a direct reference to the scandal and awkward post-breakup interviews, Pattinson said the most genuinely funny thing we’ve ever heard from him: “My biggest problem in my life is I’m cheap, and I didn’t hire a publicist. I’m going to hire a publicist.” But judging from the flawless "azul silk cotton notch lapel" Gucci suit Pattinson wore for the taping and, later, on the red carpet for the premiere of his film, Cosmopolis, we'd say he already has a well-oiled PR machine.

Global 2012: Does Kristen Stewart's Alleged Fling With Rupert Sanders Explain Her Sexy Style Shift?

Kristen Stewart of "Twilight" fame p...Kristen Stewart of "Twilight" fame plays on the vampire mystique at the 82nd Academy Awards, March 7, in Hollywood, Calif. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)Grazia Daily is aghast. This morning we were greeted with shocking rumours that Kristen Stewart may have cheated on her long-time Twilight love Robert Pattinson with the director of Snow White and the Huntsman. Say it isn't so!

Kristen became Rupert Sanders's new muse when he cast her as the lead role in Snow White and the Huntsman. In recent months, we've seen the pair promote the film together around the world, gracing red carpets from London to Australia.

Now, American magazine Us Weekly claims to have photographic evidence of the incident, which they claim happened in July. 'Kristen is absolutely devastated,' one source supposedly told People.com. 'It was a mistake and a complete lapse in judgment. She wasn't having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn't have happened.'  Kristen and Rupert have not confirmed the story.

If true, as well as a potentially heartbroken R-Pattz, Rupert is married to Liberty Ross who he has two children with. The stunning model looked oh-so-glam wearing a sparkling Tom Ford gown at the film's London premiere in May, which she attended in support of her hubby. Liberty starred as Kristen's mother in the Snow White remake and we have to admit: there is a striking similarity between the two. See the super-slim face, the dark hair, the pale skin, those sharp brows…uh oh.

Grazia Daily saw the trio up-close when we attended the film's London party, before the rumours emerged. As our snap shows, Kristen and Rupert were seen checking out the band together while boyfriend Rob sat at a table talking to sister Lizzie.

Perhaps pouring cold water on the rumours, Kristen and Rob were seen looking typically low-key but very much together as they left their favourite restaurant, The Hotel Cafe, in West Hollywood last night. Was this a perfectly-timed outing to prove 'Robsten' lives on? We sure hope so.

Meanwhile, us fash fans can't help but think that if Kristen did fall into the arms of an older (tres dapper) man, it might explain her sudden style shift. We've seen the tomboyish star stalking the red carpet in recent months looking hotter than ever, most noticeably at the Cannes Film Festival when she swathed her bod in a scarlet Reem Acra gown, then she slipped into a studded Balmain ensemble for the Australian premiere before working that rather revealing Marchesa gown, remember?. Take a look through the gallery above of Kristen's style hits and let us know whether YOU think her wardrobe speaks a thousand words…

Global 2012: Would you forgive a cheater?

Kristen Stewart at Hollywood Life Magazine’s 7...Kristen Stewart at Hollywood Life Magazine’s 7th Annual Breakthrough Awards English actor Robert Pattinson at the Twilight premiere. November 2008 (Photo credit: Wikipedia)For the past couple of days, fans of Twilight stars 22-year-old Kristen Stewart and 26-year-old Robert Pattinson were shocked by Stewart's revelation that she had cheated on Pattinson. Reports reveal that Stewart had a fling with 41-year-old director Rupert Sanders, who was her director in Snow White and the Huntsman. Sanders is married to a 33-year-old model named Liberty Ross and they have two children, a seven-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son. Both Stewart and Sanders issued public apologies for their fling. The "cheating scandal" taints the idyllic notions of fans who have been rooting for the Stewart-Pattinson match since the two were paired up in the first installment of the Twilight franchise.

In a People article written by Alison Schwartz and Julie Jordan, Stewart said, "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

Some reports allege that Stewart and Sanders had no other choice but to come clean when, on July 24, Us magazine released some exclusive photos of Stewart and Sanders' engaging in a "makeout session." According to the article, "Kristen Stewart's Cheating Scandal: A Timeline of Events" written by Us writer Nicole Eggenberger, it seemed as if Stewart and sanders "couldn't get enough" of each other.

Pattinson was devastated by Stewart's infidelity. Reports say he has left the home he shared with Stewart and has gone into temporary seclusion. Despite what has happened, there are still those who believe that Pattinson will forgive Stewart and their relationship will recover from her fling.

The Pattinson-Stewart-Sanders scenario doesn't just happen in Hollywood. It happens to everyone else, too. In fact, the Yahoo! Philippines SHE staff got hold of three men who have been cheated on by their wives. The three men also have one thing in common. They all forgave their wives' infidelity and took them back.

Francis (not his real name), 38, a doctor, says he forgave his wife because he still loved her despite her mistakes. "Even if she had an affair, I still didn't stop loving her. Of course, when I took her back, I told her I'd leave if it happened again. Once is more than enough. It was a good thing that we didn't have kids yet when it happened," he related.

For his part, Jeff (not his real name), a 29-year-old ad executive, chose to take back his wife because he knew she was sorry for what she had done. "I appreciated the fact that she was the one who came clean about what happened. It took some time for me to trust her again. But it's been three years since her affair and we're okay now," he said.

Brian (not his real name), 35, an architect, said that he and his wife split up briefly and then got back together only after they went through marriage counseling. "There were some issues that she had that she had to deal with first before we decided to get back together," he explained. "When we were back together, the two of us put in more effort to communicate and nurture our relationship. Other than that, it's all still a gamble. I guess I still had enough love for her to forgive her for it."

Global 2012: Kristen Stewart betrays Team Edward

Kristen Stewart of "Twilight" fame p...Kristen Stewart of "Twilight" fame plays on the vampire mystique at the 82nd Academy Awards, March 7, in Hollywood, Calif. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
We are shocked SHOCKED at the tawdry flameout of Kristen Stewart, 22, and Robert Pattinson. The highest paid actress in the world kissed her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, 41, and the paparazzi snapped it up. We feel Pattinson's pain. Stewart's pain. Hey, we even feel the pain of the director, suddenly stepping into the "Twilight" cast in the home-wrecker role. Still, most of the ire is directed at Stewart as Team Edward fumbles at the finish line, apparently on the verge of proposing. There are few clearer ways to express that a relationship is over than to kiss another man (or woman). It's the coward's way out, but it's a way out.

This is the star's "Scarlet Letter" moment, what Melissa Silverstein at IndieWire candidly calls "the public shaming of Kristen Stewart." But before we get celebrity gossip whiplash, let's pause to remember that Kstew and RPats are media constructs — brands traded like margarine on the cover of Us Weekly, People, or the National Enquirer. The "Twilight" duo's coupledom is as material as John Travolta's marriage. Oops! Followed by belated revelations that Travolta had a long-term relationship with a man. Tell me: Who in the offices of Us Weekly didn't know that already? (I worked there for 11 years — trust me on this one.) Or the fairytale romance of TomKat that was more of a boardroom contract servicing the Tom Cruise brand. To me, the question in that case is why Katie Holmes made the deal with the devil (OK, money is part of it for sure).

The role of America's supernaturally strung-out sweetheart never sat easily on Stewart — and it's that sense of unease that was so perfect for the teen grunge goddess Bella Swan. Given the chance, Stewart made dark indie movies on the side. In "The Runaways," she played rock rebel Joan Jett — and kissed co-star Dakota Fanning. In the quirky "Welcome to the Rileys," she starred opposite James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo as a New Orleans runaway lap-dancer that the couple tries to tame and adopt after their own daughter dies tragically. In both these box office flops, Stewart was drawn to kohl-eyed outsiders whose inner rage clawed at the delicate external beauty.

While Stewart may be romantically linked to Sanders, his direction of her in "Snow White and the Huntsman" (now sequel-bound) was no smoking gun. The smoky fable had the unflattering effect of showcasing co-star Charlize Theron's ample talents. Stewart's not a still beauty or a Jennifer Lawrence action heroine of laser focus. Her line readings when Snow White rallies the troops of dwarves and warriors at the movie's climax presents an awkward imitation of a St. Crispin's Day speech. She seems to leave the would-be warriors more stupefied than inspired although, perhaps I am projecting my own stupefaction there.

"The Hunger Games" connection: Katniss and Peeta forever

Stewart found herself in a position parallel to Katniss vis a vis Peeta from the rival, supernatural-free saga, "The Hunger Games." My 13-year-old daughter -- and guru in all things "Twilight" and HG — shared this insight with me. In "The Hunger Games," Woody Harrelson's cynical Haymitch Abernathy makes it clear to Katniss (Lawrence) that creating the illusion of a romance with Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) will save her life, and possibly Peeta's too. The moment Katniss places her hand in Peeta's atop their flaming chariot during the games' opening ceremony, she comes closer to survival and further from her true feelings. This is doubly complicated because Peeta has always carried a torch for Katniss, while her hometown hero Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth) witnesses this betrayal on TV surrounded by their families.

Clearly, it's messier when there are real beating hearts off-screen. Stewart's apparent shame, Pattinson's embarrassment, director Sander's guilt are all to some degree real, however cushioned by paychecks we will most likely never experience. Whatever Stewart's true feelings, and I can't venture a guess, it was immensely good for the franchise that she and Pattinson had a romance that went beyond the screen and spilled onto exotic beaches around the globe and splashed across the covers of endless tabloids.
