Global 2012: Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron is apparently dating Miss Alabama

One story that will never change, no matter how long the game of football is played: The quarterback will always get the girl.

You recall Johnny Manziel, the Texas A&M quarterback, and his model girlfriend Sarah Savage. Well, BustedCoverage.com and LarryBrownSports.com say that fellow SEC quarterback, Alabama's A.J. McCarron, is dating Katherine Webb. And Webb just happens to be Miss Alabama 2012. The sites cracked the case by piecing together flirty tweets to each other, the picture above that Webb tweeted, and a tweet from Webb that said she would be sitting with the McCarrons for the BCS Championship Game.

What makes the story a little more unusual than the typical "quarterback meets girl" tale is that Webb is an Auburn grad. She graduated in May of 2011 with a degree in business management. Her relationship with the Crimson Tide's quarterback might cause a stir in that divided state.

"Fine...ill say it. #RollTide," Webb tweeted on Dec. 12.

Oh my.

Webb, on her Twitter account, seems to be taking it all in stride. She's not unaccustomed to the spotlight, after all.

Here's a lesson to all you kids out there aspiring to date a Miss USA pageant contestant: Become a SEC quarterback. Wear some bow ties. Lead your team to the national championship game for a second straight season.

Global 2012: Matthew McConaughey Marries Camila Alves

Everything's bigger in Texas -- especially celebrity weddings!

Texas native Matthew McConaughey and his love of six years Camila Alves tied the knot in Austin Saturday, the actor's rep confirms to Us Weekly.

"There were about 100 of his close friends and family there," one wedding guest tells Us of the "high-end," campout-themed soiree. "[The ceremony] was very emotional. There was a moment when . . . [Matthew] leaned down and whispered something in [Camila's] ear and you could see a tear coming down her face. Everyone let out a collective sigh."

Famous attendees at the nuptials included Woody Harrelson and filmmaker Richard Linklater. Following the ceremony, guests were given the option of celebrating all night long, camping out in state-of-the-art tents set up on McConaughey and Alves' property.

"It's definitely a campground, but they weren't exactly roughing it," one source explained. "They have showers, restrooms, and air conditioning. It's very unique, high-end camping."

Alves and McConaughey, 42, who met at a bar in Los Angeles in 2006, have two children together, Levi, 3, and Vida, 2. The actor proposed to his Brazilian-born love this past Christmas.

"Just asked Camila to marry me, #MerryChristmas," the Magic Mike star tweeted December 25, posting a sweet photo of the newly-engaged pair sharing a smooch.

"I found the woman I wanna make a family with, hopefully live our life out together," he declared to Esquire magazine in March 2011. Still, the head-over-heels pair saw no reason to rush things, because, as Alves told ET Canada this past March, they already felt like a married couple.

"We've been living a married life for over six years now," Alves, 30, explained. "We have homes together, we have family together, we have kids, we've built a life together. So we've been living a married life this whole time."

Global 2011: Credit card had a 79.9% APR from First Premier Bank

Toni Riss had a credit card with a 79.9% interest rate.

The 58-year-old woman from Texas thought she struck gold when she found the First Premier card, which is aimed specifically at consumers with poor credit.

"I had an accident on a motorcycle, went through bankruptcy to pay for medical expenses and my credit went to hell in a hand basket, so I was looking for credit cards for people with bad credit" Riss said.

They granted her a card with a $300 limit -- typical for new customers -- and a starting rate of 29.9%, which Riss said she considered decent given her credit score.

But about six months after opening the card -- at the end of 2009 -- she received an unwelcome surprise in the mail.

"I about had a heart attack when I got a disclosure notice saying that my starting rate of 29.9% was going up to 79.9%," said Riss. "It was ludicrous. Talk about a highway robbery."

At that same time, First Premier Bank launched a new credit card with the sky-high 79.9% rate.

The card proved popular with consumers, said First Premier Bankcard CEO Miles Beacom, but the performance was bad: "A lot of the people ran up the card, defaulted and went directly to charge off."
